New Zealand - Beaches, Wildlife, and more around Dunedin:

The "Pyramids" of the South Island...

The "pyramids" are actually dormant (not extinct!) volcanoes. Much of New Zealand was formed by volcanic flow, so it probably wasn't my first time standing on one. By the way, the sign on the left is for protection of endangered birds... I didn't see anyone with guns.

A music festival for the most important holiday in New Zealand. These Maories are helping to celebrate the Waitangi Treaty, which established peace between the natives and British settlers over a century ago.

Many cemeteries, especially the Maories', are built on hillsides. This dilapitated cemetery in Dunedin looks out to St. Kilda in the distance. Much like Canada, New Zealand is full of ghosts. Native history, nature, colonization.
